Dear Representative [Last Name],

I am your constituent and I currently reside overseas in [Country X] and I vote from abroad in [US City/District X].

As one of your overseas constituents, I ask that you join the Americans Abroad Caucus in the 116th Congress.

The Americans Abroad Caucus was created in 2007. Representatives Mark Meadows of North Carolina and Carolyn Maloney of New York chaired the caucus in the 115th Congress. The caucus has members on both sides of the aisle, from states as disparate as California, South Carolina, Massachusetts and Texas. What these members share is an informed perspective on the issues of concern to their 8.7 million overseas constituents.

As Congresswoman Maloney says, the Caucus represents “a forum for discussion of those issues and a means for utilizing the on-the-ground experience of overseas Americans so that we can better work with and for this important and growing constituency”.

The contacts for the caucus are: Max Whitcomb in Carolyn Maloney's office (This email address is being protected from spambots. In spring of 2019, representatives of overseas advocacy organizations will be returning to Washington for the annual Overseas Americans Week and I hope you will meet with them as a member of the Americans Abroad Caucus.

Best Regards,
[Your Name, US Voting Address, and Country of Residence]
