Overseas citizens have a group in Congress that has officially indicated support for their concerns. Let’s support them and “grow the Caucus” to a size worthy of the 12th state we correspond to, in terms of population.

Congresswoman Salazar works towards defending individual rights and liberties, spearheading economic development & job training efforts, and promoting environmental resiliency in her community. She advocates for Human Rights and democracy around the world, especially for the people of Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia, and Nicaragua.

Dina Titus (D-NV), Co-Chair

Dina TitusServing the First Congressional District of Nevada, Congresswoman Dina Titus has served as both an educator and a public servant. As a professor, Dr. Titus taught American and Nevada government classes from 1979 through June 2011 at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where she has professor emeritus status.

In 1988, Dina was elected to represent the people of District Seven in the Nevada State Senate, serving as the Democratic Minority Leader from 1993 to 2008. During her service in the Legislature, Dina was a champion for quality education and renewable energy development, and a strong advocate on behalf of Nevada’s children, seniors, and persons with disabilities.

Currently in her sixth term in the U.S. House of Representatives, Rep Titus is a member of the House Committees on Transportation and Infrastructure, Foreign Affairs, and Homeland Security.

Don Beyer (D-VA)

Don BeyerCongressman Don Beyer is serving his fourth term as the U.S. Representative from Virginia’s 8th District, representing Arlington, Alexandria, Falls Church, and parts of Fairfax County. He serves the Chairman of Congress' Joint Economic Committee and serves on the House Committee on Ways and Means, and on the House Committee on Science Space and Technology, where he chairs the Space Subcommittee.

President Obama nominated Rep. Beyer to serve as Ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein in 2009.

Congressman Beyer is a member of the Ways and Means Committee and the Chairman of the Joint Economic Committee.

André Carson (D-IN)

Andre CarsonCongressman Carson is in his 7th full term in the U.S. House of Representatives and is a member of several caucus including: the Congressional Black Caucus, the Progressive Caucus, the New Democrat Coalition, and the LGBT Equality Caucus.

Before taking office, Congressman Carson served on the Indianapolis City-County Council and worked full-time in law enforcement. He also worked in intelligence and counter-terrorism for the Indiana Department of Homeland Security and served at the Indiana Intelligence Fusion Center. There he worked in an anti-terrorism unit to protect Indianapolis and the United States from terrorist threats at home and abroad.

James E. Clyburn is the Majority Whip and the third-ranking Democrat in the United States House of Representatives. He previously served in the post from 2007 to 2011 and served as Assistant Democratic Leader from 2011 to 2019.

When he came to Congress in 1993 to represent South Carolina’s sixth congressional district, Congressman Clyburn was elected co-president of his freshman class and quickly rose through leadership ranks. He was subsequently elected Chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, Vice Chair, and later Chair, of the House Democratic Caucus.
