Join us for a talk with Amy Below, MAT, specialist in American Politics and Government on: “Why Your Voice is Essential: Voting and the Survival of Democracy”

Amy Below has her BA from NYU and her MAT from Columbia University, Teachers College. She taught students in their final year of secondary school (known as Terminale in France) in the California Public Schools for 16 years. While Ms. Below specializes in American Politics and Government, she has also taught World History, United States History, a host of other social science courses, and recently concluded a popular American Government seminar series in conjunction with The New School – Parsons Paris. Ms. Below lives in Paris and works as a freelance editor and writer, primarily with multinational clientele, in both the public and private sectors.

In her talk, Ms. Below plans to help those in attendance better understand how exercising the right to vote is one of the keys to safeguarding and upholding Democratic ideas and institutions.

Volunteers will also be on hand to help attendees register to vote so they may participate in the upcoming midterm elections.
