Submission to Senate Majority Leader Schumer and Senate Minority Leader McConnell re: WEP on November 12, 2024

The Social Security Fairness Act (S. 597) repeals WEP and the Government Pension Offset (GPO), which unfairly reduces the Social Security benefits earned by many Americans, including the overseas constituency who receive public pensions overseas. The House passed H.R. 82 and AARO urges the Senate Leaders to schedule a vote for the Social Security Fairness Act.
