AARO Comments on the Burden Related to U.S. Income Tax Return Forms

Submission to the Internal Revenue Service on November 4, 2024, commenting on the IRS's proposed Paperwork Reduction Act submission to the Office of Management and Budget concerning the compliance burden relating to U.S. Income Tax Forms, expressing AARO's position that the IRS seriously understates the paperwork burden created by tax-related filing requirements in that relevant reports are not considered and taxpayer time is not realistically valued. Overall, a more fundamental review of the whole tax framework is needed.
