Lawsuit Brief Filed on Behalf of AARO
Lawsuit entitled League of Women Voters of Massachusetts et al v. Trump et al, filed with the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts by the Brennan Center for Justice, American Civil Liberties Union and other counsel on behalf of AARO, the U.S. Vote Foundation and a coalition of voting rights organizations, challenging President Trump’s March 31, 2026 Executive Order on mail-in voting. Among its mandates, the Executive Order permits and empowers the U.S. Postal Service to determine who is allowed to cast a ballot by mail, an unconstitutional violation of the separation of powers.
